Features

Make physical devices agent-friendly

Nerves standardize heterogeneous, and often messy, hardware interfaces and give physical devices standard, agent-legible APIs.

Talk to Nerves over the network. Each has an IP, and can be looked up by device serial number. Plug Nerves into lab and manufacturing instruments, then write programs to monitor status, get sensor readouts, or orchestrate action.

Built for reverse engineering

Nerves have passthrough: place one in the middle of any existing connection and it continues uninterrupted. Agents can listen to this traffic and quickly reverse engineer machines to gain read or read/write access. At C5R, we used Nerves to reverse engineer and network liquid handlers, plate readers, and more.

Deploy at scale

Nerves can be powered by PoE or USB-C, and can talk over Wi-Fi. Plug thousands of them into commodity networking hardware to instrument and control entire facilities.

Networks of Nerves can use RF to map each other, and human activity, across your space.
